| For more than two decades Douglas Koch, Inc. has been one of the finest floral and horticultural design companies in the Tri-State area. His astute eye for color, texture and shape make his creations unique and incomparable to other florists. As the principal owner of the company, Douglas supervises the work and infuses his flawless design acumen into each container, flower and plant. Douglas was awarded a scholarship that enabled him to attend Lincolnshire and Pershaw College of Horticulture in Great Britain. In addition, he attended the Parson's School of Design and Catholic University of America. These institutions contributed to his in-depth, diversified and unique perspective in floral constructs. He has studied English Bridal, English Garden, French Romantic, Japanese Ikebana, Dutch Natural, and many other modalities. Douglas Koch's floral creations have been showcased at the Macy's Flower Show, the Macy's Bridal Show, the Bloomingdale's Bridal Show, the Williams-Sonoma Bridal Show, the Swarovski Crystal Bridal Show, the Westin's Bat/Bar Mitzvah Show, and many other prominent venues. His talents have been illustrated in a special issue of Colonial Homes Magazine illustrating re-creations of sixteenth century paintings using real flowers. He has also been featured in a Colonial Homes Holiday issue, Bridal Guide Magazine, Manhattan Bride Magazine and as New Yorker of the week on New York One Television. |
